I have been visiting the West Suffolk Hospital for the management of my Crohn's disease for over 25 years.
Unfortunately I have had many stays in hospital and a number of operations. My experiences of the West Suffolk Hospital over the last few years have got better and better. The staff are very friendly and competent, the place is extremely clean, especially compared to other facilities I have seen and the care I have received from the hospital have been brilliant.
There will always be the odd 'issue' in an NHS hospital but I feel that the West Suffolk Hospital truly is a safe, clean and friendly place. I have only good things to say about the place and I am in the position to judge after being a patient for as long as I have been!
I have nothing but great admiration for the work that is done by the McMillan unit and West Suffolk Hospital. My only gripe is with the car parking chages that are in operation especially those visiting and having treatmet in the Cancer unit.
Improve the car parking ;we arrive very early to try to get a disabled space. It all adds stress to a stressful day.In general we are received with kindness and understanding.
Staff, nurses an doctors were all helpful and respectful.
The clinic area could do with a make over but other than that the visit was good.
Waiting time at the West Suffolk is always a let down, same as parking charges.
