The routine colon screening program showed blood in my stool and I underwent a colonoscopy on 11th Jan 2024, I was diagnosed with colon cancer( stage 2) , Dr Rajendran carried out a robotic right hemicolectomy on 8th February 2024, one month later on the 12th march 2024 the histology report reported that I was clear of cancer, I am currently on a 5 year NHS program to monitor my condition generally every three months. Upon meeting Dr Rajendran and his team I felt I was in very good hands and he explained that the robotic method enabled me to have a quicker recovery with less blood loss and less pain, I am extremely thankful and grateful to have such a professional doctor and team caring for me, my recovery was very quick and I am virtually back to normal after four weeks, no pain killers after 1 week , the low residue diet continued for two weeks and now I can eat normally, it amazing to think that only two months ago having been diagnosed with malignant cancer I am now cancer free with no treatment needed

I have experienced many consultants over the past 30 year for my own and my mum's care and Dr Rajendran is an outlier! On top of what you'd expect from a consultant, namely technical skills, what Dr Rajendran has is incredible patience, he listens deeply, shows unmatched empathy to his patients and treats them with dignity and respect. It is so rare to find a clinician that has his knowledge as well as the emotional intelligence to genuinely care and love his patients. I think he has a super-power like no other Dr I have seen. Thanks for all you did for my mum!

My faith in surgeons, and humanity, was fully restored by this amazing human being. After a very traumatic experience in hospital that left me feeling very negative about surgery, and my future, Mr Rajendran proved himself to be one in a million. His care, his demeanour, his knowledge, all gave me the reassurance and courage I needed to carry on. With an extremely long stint in hospital, this man literally kept me alive. Going above and beyond to make sure I made it home to my family. I couldn’t recommend Mr Nirooshun Rajendran highly enough for care, professionalism, skill, the list could quite easily go on for an age. I am forever grateful to him. Thank you Mr R xxx
