I was referred by GP through the Right to Choose pathway, knowing this would be a lengthy waiting time it was still quicker than going through the NHS pathway. I was seen within 8 months and then another 6 month wait for medication titration. Dr Sadiq was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. Communication has been very good. Titration Nurse Denise Bromilow was amazing.

My experience with PsychiatryUK has been generally very positive. I waited just six months for an initial assessment by a psychiatrist, having self referred via my GP as I had started to suspect that mental health difficulties I was having were a consequence of undiagnosed ADHD. My assessment was just under an hour, during which my psychiatrist reviewed the information I had submitted and asked lots of questions to get an insight into the difficulties I was having and how these had manifested throughout the different stages of my life. She was not the most attentive, and there were some minor inaccuracies in her report, but she generally got a good insight into my difficulties and I was diagnosed with ADHD combined type. It has taken over a year to get access to the right medication after narrowing my options down during my first titration process, but this is due to global shortages, so it can't really be helped. I am commencing titration again with what is hopefully the right medication for me this month. I have been well supported throughout the titration process and my titration nurse is very efficient and attentive.

After years of trying to deal with what turned out to be ADHD symptoms by myself, this entire process has been exactly what I needed. I felt completely listened to from the outset and although I had to pause my titration in the middle due to national medication shortages, the communication I received helped me to manage my expectations around this. It ended up taking much longer than expected, but I was told about any timeline extensions in advance. Everyone has been so supportive through this entire process.

This service is great. It's really easy to upload everything and provide everything they need from you. The response times are super quick too. I had Denise throughout my titration, she gave me really good advice and I felt really supported. I got through titration quickly, I accidentally went from 20mg to 50mg as I assumed I was given 10mg and 20mg tablets. I was actually given 20mg and 30mg tablets. It was my fault as I should have read the label. However Denise really supported me through the transition and was really supportive. The doctors who diagnosed me were really nice too and the admin team were also. I couldn't have been referred to a better service. Thank you so much

The service I received through psychiatry UK has been outstanding. The support and communication has been clear and consistent throughout, and my mental health and lifestyle has been taken into consideration at every point in the Titration process. I would especially like to thank Clive the pharmacist who has worked with me throughout. He has been approachable, polite and professional but also very attentive to my personal needs, offering knowledge and advice whenever needed. In parallel, emphasis was placed on my health also, and my vitals were monitored and discussed each week before agreeing next steps. I felt heard, supported and cared for as a result, and confident to complete the Titration process successfully. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to find treatment to support their wellbeing and health.
