Superb Physio – Superb Treatment! I went to Paul with a recurring calf injury and, boy, am I glad I did. I had read Paul’s book, “Running Free of Injuries”, and I knew that he was one of the leading physiotherapists in the country, so I decided to take the plunge and book an appointment. To be honest, I wasn’t sure quite what to expect and, in fact, I was quite nervous about going. After all, Paul treats some of the top athletes in the country, and there he was, about to treat me! However, the moment I walked into the clinic, I realised that I had nothing to be nervous about. It has a lovely warm, friendly feel about it, and the staff are really friendly. I was greeted by Emily, who made me very welcome indeed. I discussed my calf problem with Paul, and he immediately set about diagnosing the problem. This guy is a chartered physiotherapist and he has seen it all before - I would doubt if there was a condition that he couldn’t fix. After the initial assessment, Paul clearly explained what needed to be done, and also explained what my options were. I opted to go for the massage / shockwave treatment. Now this was a bit more expensive, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone. Shockwave is definitely the way to go! After the initial assessment, I had a further 6 sessions of massage / shockwave, and I can’t believe the difference it has made. My leg feels so much stronger, and I am able to run again without the constant fear of my leg popping. I really looked forward to each session, as I knew that I was getting the best treatment possible, and also, the craic was good! Paul is a really nice guy, and although he is one of the most sought-after physios in the UK, he really comes across as a regular guy. He is really easy to get along with. I think we put the world to right in those 6 sessions. So, to sum up. I would highly recommend Physio & Therapy. If you need any help physio-wise, just get them a call. You’ll be really glad you did.

I have been a regular client of Physio and Therapy for a number of years for "maintenance" as well as for the treatment of specific running related injuries. Without doubt the abilities of the team, advice provided etc has been absolutely key in helping me get to the start line (and finish :) several marathons, all well under the 4 hour mark. Paul himself is an absolute legend in the physio world and one really could do no better than to put your injured self in the hands of himself and his team.

Physio & Therapy is a very welcoming and friendly clinic. The staff listen to your problem, explain the course of treatment that they propose to carry out and keep you informed at all times of what they are doing. I have already recommended the clinic to several family members and friends.

The standard of treatment delivered at Physio & Therapy in my opinion is second to none! I had been fortunate enough to never need the services of a Physiotherapist before however I was aware of Paul and Physio & Therapy through my business, Paul has referred some of his patients to us for MRI scans. Seeing the standard of treatment he gave his patients meant that when I had my injury I didn't consider going to anyone else. Fantastic physio wouldn't go to anyone else! The expertise and knowledge given in every session makes you feel involved in your own treatment process. The assessment at the beginning of the sessions allows for a personal action plan and gives the patient a clear understanding of other areas which could be involved. A mixture of massage and exercises really works well. Many people have recommended this practice to me.
