I first went to see Emma with several issues one of which was a stroke. She is very Professional, kind and understanding. She has given me confidence to do many exercises and encourages me all the way. She is fantastic at pinpointing exactly where the movement should be coming from and helping me with mind over matter to achieve it. I started with one to one sessions and also progressed to weekly small number classes. These are both hard work and fun, Emma can spot straight away anyone not quite perfecting the movement, and is there helping each and everyone of us to achieve our best. I would thoroughly recommend her.
I am a new client of this practice and was put at ease straight away, very welcoming staff and I immediately felt that I was in good hands.
Many thanks to Emma Dodd for your help and professional expertise in sorting out my neck problem, should I need your help again in the future I will have no hesitation in returning to the Boxgrove clinic
I first met Emma when I went for Physio treatment at a Nuffield hospital. I subsequently joined her Pilates classes which I attended for a number of years until just recently, when she relocated away from the area, much to my dismay. I have the ultimate faith in her abilities as a Physio which is so very important to someone like me with osteoporosis. Of the 3 Pilates courses I have taken over the years, none of the other teachers compare to Emma. Her classes are always well prepared, varied, challenging and great fun. I recommend her whole-heartedly to anyone who is fortunate enough to have her as a Physio and/or Pilates teacher.
I was recommended to Emma from the Nuffield after an operation. Having had a one to one session with her realised how important her treatment would be to me, with her excellent physiotherapy experience together with her pilates training . I joined one of her classes and 4 years later , having broken two wrists and had a knee op, I am fit mobile and immensely grateful for all her help and the kind and considerate expertise she gave me.
I was referred for clinical pilates and physiotherapy for chronic back pain. I subsequently had major surgery in the area of my core muscles which also limited my movement, and more recently have been diagnosed with a lower jaw disease requiring facial reconstructive surgery.
This has meant that my ability to move, let alone exercise, has at times been extremely limited. However, Emma has quietly, efficiently and without fuss adapted her routines to suit me, enabling me to not only move but achieve a level of physical mobility I had not previously managed for very many years.
It probably goes without saying that the original chronic back pain for which I was referred has never come back. Ever.
Thanks, Emma.
After seeing Emma for physiotherapy and being very happy with her treatment, I joined her pilates group which I attended until she moved from the area. She is enthusiastic and innovative, and the best pilates teacher I have had (of 5). Her training in both physio and pilates ensures her exercises are safe although sometimes demanding. All her students will miss her.
Emma is extremely knowledgeable and her treatment and advice made a huge improvement to my spinal condition
