Mr David Richmond

David qualified with a Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University. He has dual registration and worked mainly in the NHS, both as an A&E Staff Nurse and as a Physiotherapist, before joining Bodies Under Construction. In addition to the the physiotherapy experience gained working in NHS services, he has also provided physiotherapy and first aid services to a variety of sports teams and players as well as at sports tournaments and public events. David’s interests in injury prevention, treatment and management began as a teenager while studying martial arts which incorporated related aspects of traditional Japanese and Chinese medicine. David’s approach utilizes movement screening and incorporates manual therapies (such as joint mobilisation/manipulation, soft tissue release, acupressure and trigger point release), Kinesiotaping and therapeutic exercise (including core stability training using the APPI Clinical Pilates Method).
