Abbi has been an amazing support from the day I met her in hospital Lots of useful advice Brilliant bedside manner Nothing was too much trouble

The initial adjustments to having a stoma aren’t easy, but must be made to have a reasonable quality of life living with one. To do that we need to be able to manage it properly, and the local team do an excellent job of doing that. I have found that their snippets of knowledge and tips to help of great use and are always available for advice when you need it. Alison has been marvellous for me and tells it like it is.

I received excellent support and help at a difficult time, and during the following 3 months l was shown how to manage and care for my stoma by my named stoma nurse Jane. I also had cause to contact Kate, another member of the team. Both were brilliant. Nothing was to much trouble and it was reassuring knowing that there was always someone on the end of a phone to deal with any issues.

Made me feel at ease and confident in my procedure.

Fiona Holtham was my stoma nurse and we, that is myself and wife, found her to be the friendliest and most caring person, nothing is too much trouble for her, revisiting issues we have previously discussed was'nt a problem for her, her advice has been invaluable, she has made this stressful experience so much easier to cope with, in fact we both actually looked forward to the appointments with her. Fiona has been a rather splendid light at what could have been a very dark tunnel! So a great BIG thank you Fiona! Also the team at the end of the phone was also a god send if not in the office always returned a call within the hour to help with any problem, a fantastic team!! I do not think I could have been taken care of by a better team!

I haven’t had any real problems.
