Patient with Alzheimer’s left unattended for long periods of time in side room . Very hot in there. No window open or fan . Hands & fingernails dirty. She had at least two UTI’s & infections whilst there. No nurse/ doctor available to speak to most of the time. No updates or any information given to family . Spent most time in bed although she was quite mobile when she went in , but no physio or exercise given as far as we’re aware. Didn’t manage her drinking & not ensuring drinking especially in the hot weather.
- Information for family. Better care given. Ensuring drinking. Washing . More help with mobility & encouragement to walk & get out of bed.
