I visited the surgery only to be told to ring at 12.00 which I did. I was second in the queue the recording said but at 12.02 a receptionist said no telephone appointments were left. Returning to the premises a receptionist on the desk couldn't explain what had happened but did say that sometimes the doctors and/or health workers write in the names of their personal patients so the system doesn't work. Highly unprofessional of the staff to do this as well as the receptionist to tell me about it. Not recommended!

White Horse Surgery Dr Asal is a brilliant doctor. He is professional, helpful and so understanding. I think it is so important to be able to see your GP and leave feeling you’ve received the best advice and treatment, which I have received from every appointment with Dr Asal. The only constructive suggestion I could give would be appointment availability and it’s understandable that he is in high demand as you can tell how much he cares about his job.

Honestly the best surgery I’ve been with in my 45 years. The entire staff all go above and beyond to help at every stage. I highly recommend this surgery.

The facilities are great here -- very clean and pleasant place to have to visit. However, it does seem to be massively over-subscribed. We just don't have enough GPs and surgeries. Admin staff are a bit better than the NHS average, which is damning with faint praise really. GP receptionists seem to range from outright rude and unprofessional to grudgingly helpful. This surgery's team are at the more helpful end of the scale, but occasionally slip into bluntness.

I have always found the staff polite, helpful & professional. Getting a doctors appointment can be very difficult at times, sometimes you have to wait weeks, I know we have sit & wait which allows the option of seeing a GP quicker, but for some such as my husband who has COPD & Rheumatoid Arthritis finds this system difficult for him, we both would prefer an appointment system to allow patients to see the same GP if they wish for continuity of care. The surgery is clean & comfortable

I moved to this surgery from the one next door and the quality of the service you get here is second to none, the reception staff go all out to try and help to the best of their ability, wether you phone or go to the surgery in person and even if the receptionist are being spoken to by another patient not very nicely they are always polite and professional . I have even been called by another Dr about my results and been prescribed another lot of antibiotics so you are never left in limbo, I just hope with all the pressure the Drs and staff are under it does not effect their good work in the future .

the wait is awful, I was very ill felt like I was making others ill or I was going to get worse after waiting 4 and a half hours, for a 3 and half min appointment were the doctor didn't say much and gave me a prescription. I was so upset after spending that long waiting.

The only reason I on gave 4 stars regarding recommending the surgery is because of the difficulties of getting an appointment. I have read many negative things about the receptionists which I feel is very unfair. I understand the frustration not being able to see your GP or anyone else, but it isn`t their fault. If appointments aren`t available then they can`t pluck one out of the air. I have found them to be friendly and helpful in what can be a very thankless job. They have never been rude to me, but then again, I have never been rude to them. Treat the staff as you would wish to be treated.
