I have been the first to complain about this surgery in the past so much so i asked to speak to the Practice Manager at my last visit. Una (the PM) called me and we had a good old discussion on my experiences in the past. She assured me things are beginning to change with guaranteed same day appointments for those who need them after you have been assessed by NHS 24. They are working also to improve the phone lines so you get through quicker at the first point of contact which was one of my main grievances. She asked me to give it time which i agreed to. However low and behold i have came down with an ear infection and in great pain. I called at 8am to be 6th in the Q and got through in approx 5 minutes. I was told i would be called back between 0830 and 14.30 the same day to be assessed by NHS 24. I had no longer put the phone down when the receptionist i had spoken to a few minutes ago called me back to say there was a cancellation at 0930. Well if this is how its going to be in future well done Una and your team as all i can say this is excellent service. Long may it continue and well done to all at RMP for a great experience. Simply awful experience every time I've dealt with them. Unfriendly and unprofessional staff, doctors who don't care about their patients, receptionists who behave like attack dogs... If I could move just to change GP's I would. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this horrible excuse of a surgery.
