Review
Receptionist at Sighthill Red seems to go deliberately out of her way to be unhelpful, demeaning and rude. I feel sorry for any vulnerable or infirm person who has to deal with her on top of medical concerns.
- An honest review of the receptionist staff would probably be useful. It would make the world of difference if the reception staff would actually do their job and, even better, do it with kindness and compassion.

Receptionist told my family member after he was forced into telling her what was wrong , which he had to tell her ' he felt suicidal ' her reply was ' you are not ' in a sarcastic tone which he was made to feel a burden , not valued and further distressed. I have alerted the practice manager a while back to report the offensive , unnecessary and unpleasant experience . Mental health escalation happens especially after being told you have a progressive heart failure.
- 1. Employ people who are compatible with communicating with medically disabled people. 2. Train reception team to have their focus on the human patient and not on their own specific sarcastic comments. 3. Receptionist has become increasingly intimidating. Lack of knowledge about Mental Health and the wrong word could be that final end to the patients life . Words hurt , words can be fatal , words from a place that's meant to help patients that are just nasty unessesary are inappropriate and unacceptable.

Doctors, nurses, great experience. Current receptionists at Sighthill red is apalling. The worst staff I have ever dealt with. Currently engaging with formal complaints about two of them.
- The main thing you could have done, is replace the above staff with people who care about their customers and jobs. I cannot stress enough how, egregious and uncaring their attitudes were on this occasion. I would restate that doctor's nurses and pharmacy staff were very professional and helpful Given the terrible feedback onthe reception staff on this website , how the NHS allow this to continue is beyond belief.

Absolute shambles of a doctors every time I put in a repeat prescription for my terminally ill mum it’s doesn’t get done and never gets delivered I always have to chase it up resulting in her not having medication for a week or two !! Getting to speak to a doctor is a no no even an appointment is like splitting teeth I would not recommend this doctors atall to anyone stay clear they are clearly not capable!!!
- Just be helpful and answer the phone I’m on the phone and wait ages to speak to someone to Then be hung up and try again later it’s shocking!!!

I have had continuse call from my specified GP for the last two years and Ian well monitered. Ian involved in the decisions of any treatment. It's very hard to get a GP who takes the time to listen and I would not swap this particular GP for the world
