Trying to book an appointment on line is an absolute joke, plenty of links to pharmacy, other conditions etc but you come up against a barrage of directions seemingly to make you not want an appointment. No direct link to triage but reception insisted it's the only way to get an appointment/ if this is the case why have receptionist, just click on a proper valid appointment link to get some results. Altogether, I think the website is there to deter you from getting medical help, no wonder the hospital is full of minor injuries and complaints. Very unhelpful system.

When surgery opens at 8am I tried to telephone the rosemary Road surgery. The answer given to me ‘due to high volume of calls we are not able to connect you’. I called thoughout the day and every time the same answer was given. When I’ve called other times the call put me through to a line of calls and I was told the number I was in the queue. I eventually had to visit the surgery and the receptionist told me the surgery only had 10 lines and they were full, she explained in a condecending manner, ‘ we have 10.000 patients here!’ In the issue 57 Spring 2025 of patient Newsletter ‘ To help long waits on the phone, we now offer the option of a call back. Your position will be held in the queue and once you reach position 1 our receptionist will call you back’ if this is so why am I not being put in a queue and told ‘we are not able to connect you’. There seems to be contradictory information here.
