Meeks Road Surgery

I called for my dad who really needs help and the receptionist did not give him anyone to talk to at all. They are useless and not nice at all.

I recently needed an appointment as i had been experiencing pain with a musculoskeletal problem. I called bang on 8am, and found I was number 23 in the que, waited 30 mins to speak to the receptionist who was clearly very busy but she was lovely and very professional in triage. She arranged an appointment for me with Craig the Advanced physio for the following week which was great and imo more appropriate for me than seeing the gp and she said my pain would be addressed in a callback that morning. Within 30 minutes i had a call back from Angela the ANP who assessed my issue well remotely, and prescribed me the medication i required meaning i had pain relief within an hour of calling in, with a follow up advanced physio appointment the following week. Im really happy with the service and the professionals who treated me who were more than capable of dealing with my problem.

I was assigned to this surgery when I moved into the area. In the three or four years that I have been with this surgery I have seen a drop in the already atrocious standards of service. The appointment process is insane and even then trying to see a clinician is beyond a joke. If I could move I would.

Been trying to get appointment for blood test impossible , nobody answered

I have been a patient at this Practice all my life. The medical treatment I have received has been exceptional. I find the staff caring and considerate. It has been my experience that they are helpful and accommodating. For a number of years one of my parents lived in a local Care Home and she was always given the greatest care and treatment directly from this Practice. The appointments can be tricky to get but I have never failed to get the help needed.

There is next to no care shown at this surgery. You are not even acknowledged when you go in. They stick to the one liners advice with no humanity and do not listen. The way they communicate with patients from reception to doctors is very poor. Not all staff are insensitive but in my experience most. One doctor in particular in my view should not be in this profession. Very sad to see this practise go this way as my family have been in it for generations!

You have got more chance of getting an audience with the Pope than an appointment at this surgery

Non medical staff think that they have done 5 year medical degree and then some. Attitude stinks with these staff members. Never had a problem with any of the GP's.

I moved here recently after having two previous doctors due to house moves. In the past 5 months I have only managed to secure one appointment despite using patient access, phoning and then calling into the practice. Problems getting prescriptions, unhelpful reception staff.
