Furlong Medical Centre

Phoned at 8am for gp appt and saw gp at 2.40pm. Was referred to consultant at Stoke hospital and given an X-ray request form. Drove a couple of miles to The Haywood, walked straight in for X-ray and was home for 4pm. Had a call from the Furlong medical centre at 6.30pm to tell me my referral letter was ready for collection. An amazing faultless experience. Thankyou. The only thing I could suggest as an improvement would be to email me the referral letter? Save me a journey and you a piece of paper!

Turned up to make appointment at receptionist told I have to phone at 8am. Phones at 8am having to wait up all morning from a night shift no answer. Looked online 2 slots was available 2 weeks away and Not much of choice on dates or times. Booked my slot. Turned up 10 min late for appointment to be told I have to phone in at 8am. How am I supposed to book an appointment when I work nights

A very clean surgery and intelligent doctors/nurses. Biggest let down is you can never get an appointment other than 2 weeks later when it's too late. The receptionists never answer the phone and you end up holding for around 10 minutes just to get an appointment. For an emergency appointment you are told to call back on the day when you won't be able to get through anyway. It takes at least 5 attempts before the line even rings. I ended up visiting the walk In Centre just to get seen by someone. Would not reccomend at all.
