As always, Freshwell surgery Staff always perform to the highest standards. The Receptionists are very pleasant and always try their very best to fit you in with an appointment in a timely manner. My recent appointment to see a new Dr at Freshwell was refreshing too. I could not find a slot to review Dr Randika Liyanage in the Staff review here, but want to mention that he was a lovely Doctor, who is very personable and friendly, listens and was thorough in his assessment of my concerns. He has a lovely manner and I hope that he continues as a GP at my surgery. Also met Dr Kim Andrews again too..and goes without saying how nice she always is ! Keep up your sterling work Freshwell Staff, you are all very well thought of for the high levels of care that you continue to give to local people in our villages. Thank you All. A grateful patient

I have been lucky enough to use Freshwell Health Centre for the past 5 years, and without exception, they have never failed to provide a 5 star gold treatment. Every member of staff that I have spoken to has always been incredible helpful and always goes out of their way to make sure my needs are met.

Fresh well is my 89 year old mother’s surgery. She has always had good care. I care for her and recently she has deteriorated so I have had to bother the surgery often. Without exception, the receptionists, doctors, nurses and dispensers have been skilled, helpful and friendly. I think there is a culture of professionalism, service and positivity at this surgery. A wonderful caring practice, always accommodating always helpful. We are so lucky to have such great facilities in the village. The doctors, nurses and receptionist’s are all kind helpful and reassuring. Thank you, all of you x

We are so lucky to have such an amazing doctors. All the staff are always more than happy to help, you can book appointments and speak to gps whenever is needed to fit with your level of requirement. A very well run practice.

Hello. My wife and I moved from a Braintree practice to Freshwell Health Centre about three years ago I have a few complications all are dealt with by doctors, nursing staff on almost personal basis. I am never rushed Everyone in the practice from walking through the door. The receptionists, doctors, nursing, dispensary, X Ray, ultrasound and the upstairs staff are all lovely and friendly. I cannot praise the whole practice any higher.

I would like to thank everybody at the surgery,I feel very lucky to have such a excellent health centre nearby.The receptionists,doctors and nurses are all superb. I hope that due to increasing pressures ie lack of funding,increasing local building,and government pressures that you will still be able to provide such a wonderful service. Well done.

Made an appointment with Dr Oliver after being told to do so by Braintree community hospital, was made to feel as if I was wasting his time, do I ignore hospital instructions in future so as not to annoy my GP?!

Your comments have been discussed with Dr Oliver who is very sorry if his actions during your consultation led you to feel you were wasting his time, this was not his intention and would like to offer a sincere apology. Doctors and staff at Freshwell Health Centre strive to give all our patients the best care we can and are always looking for ways to improve our patient experience. We are aware that at times it may feel like we may not get this right and would like to encourage you to contact a member of our Management Team to discuss this further as we hope to understand how exactly we have not met your expectations at this time. Information gathered will be used as a learning point for all practice staff giving us the ability to make improvements to care where appropriate. Waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment is not on, what on earth has gone wrong with trying to get to see a doctor. Very disappointed. My family have always been treated really well but the last couple of months it has been unbelievable

Response from the doctor - Thank you for your feedback regarding the current length of time you have had to wait for a routine appointment with a GP at Freshwell Health Centre. We agree that two weeks is longer that we ourselves would like however we do always have appointments on the day for those in need of urgent and emergency care. Please be assured we have looked into the factors that are causing our current appointment booking issues and are actively working to resolve this by engaging additional clinical support to improve patient access, and at this time we can only apologise for your delay. If at any time any of our patients feel that the wait for the appointment they have been offered is too long, we would encourage them to phone on a week day morning and ask for a telephone consultation with a doctor. The doctor may be able to deal with the situation, condition or requirement successfully over the phone or agree to see them sooner if deemed a clinical necessity. If this is something you would like to raise directly with us, please contact a member of our practice management team who will deal with your concerns appropriately.
