This surgery has been exemplary in its practice since I moved here ten years ago. Now in my seventies, I find I need support, advice and treatment more than was the case in my younger years. These I have always received from everyone - doctors nurses, and the reception staff. I have never had to wait more than three days for a telephone consultation - usually a lot less. For a face-to-face one it's been about a week at the most. Referrals have been timely and I have always had a sense that the hospital specialists and the GP practice work as a team.

Suggested improvements
  • Given the financial constraints on GPs and the NHS in general, it is difficult to suggest improvements in a realistic way.

Last week I went to collect a letter from GP practice. I asked the friendly receptionist if someone could assess my ear as I felt I had an ear infection. Straight away, the receptionist arranged for Nurse Laura to assess me. Laura was professional, caring and friendly. Any time I have phoned Battlefield practice my call is answered quickly by the friendly and helpful receptionists. Thank you all for being an excellent practice with professional, caring and friendly staff. Keep up the excellent service that you all provide. Many thanks, Ruth

Suggested improvements
  • Keep doing what you doing- providing an excellent service.

The reception staff and the manager at the practice do not know how to talk to people in a repectful manner. The way in which I and many other ive spoken to have be talked to is beyond unexectable. Your gp surgery is meant to offer you care and help, not talk down to you and belittle you every time you call. I know realky dont want to call this surgery as it is so horrible. Shocking way to concuct themselves.

Suggested improvements
  • Learn how to talk to people in a repectable, caring way. Have better manners and emphathy towards their clients. Instead of making everything so difficult.

Been at this surgery for decades. Constantly been misdiagnosed, dismissed incorrectly, wrong prescriptions being issued, being fed incorrect info, constant mess ups (putting it nicely) by reception and GPs and no one takes accountability. Receptionists just blame GPs even if they're at fault. Doesn't seem like a team. You just get excuses rather than apologising and admitting they made a mistake and improving the issues the have. And the worst is the manager who is a vile, horrid, and unprofessional man who gaslights, and when you call him out on it (the first time I complained after decades of putting up with incompetence) you get a letter saying you've been deregistered from the surgery. Talk about abuse of power.

Suggested improvements
  • Get rid of your disgusting manager, better reception staff and up to date training for gps

Incompetent Drs, receptionists (one is particularly rude) and a disgusting manager who really has no management capabilities at all and is a horrible person. Constantly being messed about and sent in circles, have to do their job for them and chase things up. Constantly been misdiagnosed and dismissed.

Suggested improvements
  • Everything

Dark, dingy depressing environment not conducive to my mental health. One receptionist in particular was very rude and demeaning. Seems to have a particular attitude problem. Doctors very nice indeed. Young nurse said some very inappropriate, unhelpful and upsetting comments on visits. Needs more training in how to deal with mental illness and eating disorders and autism.

Suggested improvements
  • Address the approach of the receptionist who seems to have upset many. Lighten up the interior environment, provide additional training for nursing staff.

I find the surgery adequate and handy and have been treated well by the resident doctors and nurses. But I find the older receptionist a short lady with bobbed greyish hair and glasses in there quite abrupt and unfriendly as If I am an inconvenience for her. I am not looking for preferential treatment but the doctors surgery is the last place you should feel like a statistic, perhaps she would be better in a tax office. Not looking to get people sacked or in trouble that’s all.
