I saw my GP regarding a new white lump on my right forearm Having had a melanoma removed a few years ago and other lesions subsequently excised, I was naturally concerned. The GP diagnosed it as a slow-growing basal cell carcinoma and referred me to Salford Royal, NHS, Dermatology Clinic but as "urgent", not "fast track". When I rang for an appointment, I was told it would be 35 weeks. I couldn't believe it. Given my history, I could not afford to wait that long. I researched private dermatology consultants on-line and was attracted to the qualifications and feedback for Dr Madan. A very helpful receptionist at HCA, Wilmslow, contacted Dr Madan and, when he was advised of my history and latest lesion, he kindly arranged to see me the following day at the end of his morning clinic with my wife present. He gave me a thorough all-over body examination, including lymph nodes. He thought the new white lump could be a melanoma or a squamous cell carcinoma. He was quietly patient, unrushed and informative. He explained that melanomas could be white and that squamous cell carcinomas are fast-growing and need to be dealt with urgently. He arranged to excise the lump at the EverythingSkin Clinic in Cheadle the following day, again fitting me in at the end of his afternoon clinic. The excision went well and the follow-up care, including a phone call from the nurse 2 days later to check I was OK, was exceptional. I had the stitches removed 2 weeks later and Dr Madan saw me again to advise me of the result of the biopsy. It was indeed a squamous cell carcinoma and had been completely eliminated with the amount of skin removed. No further action is required. I will be forever grateful to Dr Madan for his prompt action which has prevented a very dangerous medical condition developing. His skills and care are to be recommended. The scar is healing beautifully, but more importantly, the skin cancer has been completely removed very quickly.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Madan. I went to see him about a mark on my face, which turned out to be skin cancer. Dr. Madan went above and beyond in terms of the next steps - from reassuring me about everything , to explaining the journey and next steps and finally sorting things out asap. Through his care and attention to detail another area (on my back) was highlighted and removed. When you hear the word cancer it’s quite frightening but Dr. Madan did everything to ease my mind and remove the affected areas. I’d recommend him to anyone

I recently developed a new skin lesion which my GP felt required an urgent opinion from a Consultant Dermatologist. My wife's research revealed numerous outstanding reviews for Dr Vishal Madan commending him for his excellent professional expertise and his kind and caring nature. The staff at Everything Skin Clinic also received many compliments for their kindness and assistance. My wife called the clinic and was advised that Dr Madan was fully booked for several weeks. However, on hearing that it was an urgent referral the staff member did her upmost to help and was able to arrange for me to be seen within a few days for which I will always be grateful. At the appointment I found Dr Madan and the clinic staff to be welcoming, polite and attentive and the clinic environment was bright, airy and extremely clean and hygienic. Dr Madan had read the referral letter sent by my GP prior to my appointment but took further history directly from me to which he listened carefully. After a thorough examination Dr Madan gave his opinion in a clear and concise manner whilst also being friendly and reassuring. He advised that the skin lesion should be excised and after explaining what the procedure involved he offered to carry it out that same day. I felt that Dr Madan's kind offer to remove the lesion without further delay demonstrated professional diligence and great sensitivity and compassion. The procedure was performed skilfully and efficiently and Dr Madan and the assisting nurse were both gentle and considerate. I was provided with detailed Aftercare Information both verbally and written and also contact numbers should I have any queries or concerns. Two days later I received a courtesy phone call from a nurse at the clinic enquiring as to how my wound was healing and offering any necessary advice which I feel shows a high level of care and consideration. A couple of weeks after my procedure I returned to the clinic for removal of sutures and follow-up consultation with Dr Madan and I received the same prompt and courteous attention as previously. Dr Madan is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist and has great expertise. The excision site has healed really well and looks exceptionally neat in appearance. The service provided by Dr Madan and his staff at Everything Skin Clinic has been absolutely first class. I have been treated with professional excellence and with courtesy, kindness and sensitivity. I thoroughly recommend Dr Madan and his team and thank them most sincerely for their warmth and support and superb treatment and care.

Both the doctor and the staff were very kind and made me feel well looked after and in excellent hands. Doctor Madan explained what would happen during the procedure and told me at each stage what would happen next. I thought it would be very painful and it wasn’t . The worse bit was the stitches and when I got home I thought I would have a dreadful scar on my head. There is no scar at all and I felt Dr Madan had done an excellent job . I really can’t think of any improvements as everything was so good.

I have received some major facial skin surgery, on two separate occasions from Dr Madan in the last eighteen months. I have found him to be an excellent skin specialist and I have been very happy with the outcome. He is very friendly and reassuring and put me at my ease whilst I was undergoing these procedures. I would definitely recommend anyone to see Dr Madan, if wondering whether they have a skin problem.
