Having to have a major operation is a daunting situation and often, we are put off going through it because we are scared.
My experience has been a positive one as a result of meeting Dr Jain.
From the outset, he was honest about each stage of the process, letting me know about the pain after the operation through to the success of the operation.
I am 6 weeks into my recovery and have felt supported along my journey because I have been surrounded by a caring team.
The advice I would give anyone considering a TKR would be to get yourself fit especially the parts of the body or muscles you will be relying on after the op.
But more importantly, know that you have a good team around that you can rely is key.
