Mr Pollock listened to my concerns and gave me 3 options to choose from, incorporaring my concerns. He was very attentive, listened well and showed great understanding for my conerns. The procedure was carried out in a caring way, always talking to me, understanding what I was feeling and trying to make it as comfortable as was possible. The result is first class I would not hesitate to recommend the services of this docyor.

I have seen Mr Pollock on 3 occasions at Nuffield Hospital, Derby. I have found him to be the most caring professional Consultant I have met. He never rushes the appointment, always ready to listen to your concerns and puts your mind at ease. I have had one basal skin cancer operation done by him, and I am scheduled to have another. He is so professional in his approach during the operation, telling you at each stage what is happening. His surgical skills are absolutely brilliant and I am so pleased with the result. His caring approach, especially to me, as I was a very nervous paatient, was so important. His surgical skills combined with his compassionate nature is all you could ask for in Consultant.

Jonathan provided excellent service in removing a small area of skin cancer from my forehead.
At all times he was informative from examining the area to telling me what the operation would involve to actually performing the operation & follow up appointment.
My forehead is now healing well and with Jonathan's advice on how to manage the healing process I should be left with a small scar. The operation was successful, the skin cancer was totally removed and the procedure performed by Jonathan was excellent

Very approachable doctor, who listened to my concerns and took plenty of time to explain the procedures and science behind my condition. Mr.Pollock always made me feel welcome, relaxed and confident that I was in the safest of hands.
I would have no hesitation to recommend him to friends and others who find themselves in a similar position.

I was handed over to Mr Pollock for a major operation on my neck. As his NHS list at Nottingham City of several week was longer than he thought my condition warrantied he went out of his way to get me transferred to the Nottingham Spire. I was told on the Thursday it was all changed to the Spire, saw Mr Pollock for the first time there on the Monday, but things were already in place and actually had the Pre-med tests done on the Monday before I saw Mr Pollock, and had the operation the following Monday.
He was attentive through out my short stay and follow up appointments which are now at the Derby Nuffield

Mr Jonathan Pollock is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals where he specialises in skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction. He is the Chair of the East Midlands Skin Cancer Network, and the Plastic Surgery department lead for skin cancer. He has been an invited lecturer to national and international conferences on both skin cancer management and reconstruction techniques. He has also written a book chapter on reconstruction techniques in the Head and Neck and has completed over 40 presentations and publications.
He completed his training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery in the East Midlands and was awarded the Ian McGregor Gold Medal for his performance in the FRCS exam. He went on to be appointed to two national fellowships in skin cancer at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and head & neck surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, before being appointed as a Consultant in Nottingham in 2016.
