Mr Garreffa is very personable and yet so thorough and professional. On my first appointment with him he told me that he thought the lump I had discovered looked suspiciously like a breast cancer but he couldn’t say for definite until we got the result. This gave me time to absorb what is quite shocking news for anybody to hear but time then prepared me so that when my diagnosis of breast cancer was made and I was told I would have to have a mastectomy, it didn’t come as such a shock. Every appointment I had with him, he would spend a moment talking about the last thing we’d spoken about and I was amazed that he would remember. This made me feel very comfortable and a ease with him. He was very thorough when discussing all my options and checked regularly for my understanding and listened intently to any of my concerns. The operation took four hours but was a great success and the after care I received was brilliant. After each appointment I would receive a letter confirming everything we had discussed and next steps, this really helped as I could absorb so much more of the information after reading through it again. I cannot thank Mr Garreffa enough for the treatment he has given me, he has made what for some is the worst experience of their lives into a trusting, life saving, constructive achievement for which I will be eternally grateful.
