Dear Edward, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you and all members of your team at The Three Shires for the exceptional care and attention given to me during my recent hip replacement surgery. As you know I had my right hip resurfaced some 13 years ago at the Three Shires by one of your colleagues. This was a great success and continues to perform well with no pain or restriction of movement. However the recovery period was quite significant and lasted for some 12 months before I was pain free. My most recent left hip replacement was only 6 weeks ago and my recovery has been amazing. From day one I experienced very little pain and only needed paracetamol for a few days. As instructed I used crutches for the first three weeks to allow the hip to recover. This was the only frustrating thing as my recovery was so rapid and virtually pain free. Within three weeks I could climb stairs, walk a mile and manage unaided. At five weeks post op I have full mobility , no pain and have fully recovered . When you consider only a few weeks ago I was crippled with pain and unable to enjoy life the AMIS technique hip replacement is quite remarkable and has changed my life. So thank you so much. Kind regards Michael Holt

Mr Crawfurd has a very caring manner, makes you feel very at ease explains the procedure and what the recovery will be post operation. Mr Crawfurd gave me the impression that he takes great pride in his work & cares very much for his excellent reputation. I have been very impressed with my overall experience and recovery.

Takes immense trouble to gather as much info as possible &, unlike many surgeons, will tell you when he thinks it is better NOT to operate, or delay for a few years. When he does operate he explains what he expects to achieve, outlines the risks clearly, and takes a keen interest in recuperation
