I had sedation this time , and it turned an ordeal into a better experience. Wish the staff promoted this . You do have to insist on mild sedation. The staff in the gastroscope department are really nice . Wish I could say the same about some of the reception staff. Who try and make sure you wait in the waiting room ( sometimes for quite a while ) on your own!!!! This is very unnerving. !!!!!

Please please allow at least 1person to wait with you in the waiting room until it’s time to go for the treatment. I do understand that room is perhaps tight for space but not when I have been there

On the time of my appointment there had been a medical emergency quite serious. However i was delayed by over an hour but when i was seen the staff and Tony who had to take over his colleagues list were all very professional putting me at ease very friendly you would not have known they had to deal with the trauma having dealt with a medical emergency. Brilliant team I felt very confident in the treatment I recieved.

I was left all nite and kicked out at early hours with the pain still consistent Since leaving there care my problem remains the same and I don’t have the heart to continue with any care from the A&E department The treatment I received was non and this is a disgusting basic of foundation of care as most people go there first Overall appalled

There interest is individual care was non-existent how you can get the healthcare professionals to do this is half the problem

I came in for surgery and I was looked after very well and made sure I was comfortable after surgery and made sure I was feeling ok and wouldn’t let me home till they thought I was okay. Staff was amazing also.

I’d probably say after surgery to let you stay in the bed for longer than 30 minutes as you’re very tired and drained from surgery. Other than that everything was fine for me.

For what is quite an embarrassing and uncomfortable procedure I was made to feel calm, comfortable and cared for by every member of staff I had contact with
