Mr Ratnarajan provided very careful and considered guidance prior to, during and after operating. His attention to detail, warmth and understanding were exemplary. His empathetic assessment of my needs, as a patient and as human being, with concerns about and interests in a process that I could never completely understand helped to ensure that the stress of surgery was minimised. The end result, following cataract and iStent surgery surpassed my expectations. I would have absolutely no reservations about recommending Mr Ratnarajan: he is a superb surgeon and I feel privileged to have met him.

Mr Ratnarajan operated on me for glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes. I found him most pleasant and approachable to discuss all my concerns. I first saw Mr. Ratnarajan at the Queen Victoria Hospital. I was being monitored for possible Glaucoma and having checks on the development of my cataracts. It was when I began to feel unsafe in certain driving conditions, that I asked if I could have my cataracts removed. We discussed the procedure and Mr Ratnarajan asked me to consider what kind of vision I wished to have after the operation; I chose to have good, long -sight vision and to probably wear glasses for close work. I have never worn bi-focal glasses , so I felt happy with my choice. I decided to have both operations performed at Mr. Ratnarajan's Private Clinic in the McIndoe Hospital. They were completed in a month. The entire staff at the hospital were thoughtful, helpful , patient and very kind. There was always someone I could speak to either in person or on the phone should I have a question or a worry. Because I was rather anxious I found this kind of attention invaluable for my peace of mind. And the operations themselves went very smoothly. I was always listened to and any difficulties were met with solutions and kindness. And the results are amazing! I now have wonderful clear vision. The world had become a rather drab, cloudy place. Now it is bright and vibrant. I have never seen so well in my entire life. Thank you, Mr Ratnarajan and everyone who was involved in my care.

I recently underwent Laser Glaucoma and Cataract surgery at the Eye Unit in Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead carried out by Mr G Ratnarajan and his marvellous team. I was very apprehensive beforehand and and the quality of care I received before, throughout and after surgery was of the highest possible standard. Mr Ratnarajan is a wonderful eye surgeon backed up by an exceptional team in a theatre equipped with state of the art laser equipment. My eye operation was a great success and I no longer need spectacles when driving. I am 84 years of age. Mr Ratnarajan will perform further laser glaucoma and cataract surgery on my other eye in two months time, which I greatly look forward to having carried out.

A very caring doctor who explains the upcoming procedures and takes care to indicate the probable outcomes. My experiences have proved first rate to date and have exceeded expectations although only one week after the operation and thus still at an early stage. The lens implant and the cypass micro-stent have been excellent with improved vision and pressures down from near 30 to 7.
