Over the last six months I have had cataracts from both eyes removed and stents implanted under Mr Ratnarajan - one with the NHS at the QVH the other privately at the McIndoe Centre. I received impeccable care from Mr Ratnarajan. He was punctilious in explaining what was required and why, and gave me ample time to ask questions. In theatre the procedures he undertook were clearly explained, carried out with little discomfort and with sensitivity to my wellbeing. In his consulting room and in the theatre his manner is authoritative, affable and confidence inducing, with no hint of haste or the pressures beyond. On both public and private sides the procedures carried through have proved very successful, and I am delighted to commend unreservedly his modus operandi, the high standards of his professional commitment and his empathy in his patients' care.
