Having found a lump quite by accident, I was a little anxious and nervous about my visit to the clinic at the L and D.
I was reassured and treated with respect, understanding and kindness by Miss Kirkpatrick and the whole team, from referral, through the scans and delivering the results.
I was reassured that all was well, nothing to worry about, I was free to go - but as I left the clinic it struck me that many in the waiting room would not receive the same news that afternoon. I feel that if I had received bad news that afternoon I would trust that Miss Kirkpatrick would have been calm, empathetic and professional in her approach.
