Written by a NHS patient

I did have a bit of a journey to get my referral accepted. As the triage nurse originally rejected me due to having breast cancer last year. To be fair she said there was not enough information regarding that treatment, but I suggest trying to find out more by contacting the patient may help. The anaesthetic staff were wonderful, as a bit nervous about spinal and needles due to previous chemotherapy. They were brilliant. The general staff were always friendly. Inpatient nurses helpful and supportive. I liked the portal when used. I did find it a bit disconcerting when they kept asking me if I was NHS, especially during my stay, as already booked in. The physio care could have given more written information as found more support on a NHS website regarding rehabilitation exercises. However everyone was friendly & courteous which helps when having any medical procedures and my result is a new knee without the worry of delays. Thank you for your care & grateful that you do treat NHS patients
