I would not hesitate to be treated by the staff at Furness General Hospital, I was on the day ward and the dayshift were excellent towards me, Special thanks to Susan Sheldon and Jeanette Crosthwaithe for their care. I must pay tribute to the nightshift Sylvia Dale, Hana and Rena were absolutely amazing and there care towards me was exemplary. All in all a difficult experience made easy to deal with thanks th ethe love, care , support and more importantly the laughs I had with all the staff.
Thank You

Only 2 phlebotomists led to an overflowing waiting room, people standing in corridor and a 2 hour wait for a simple blood test! It's no wonder they struggled to extract blood when people had been left so long! Entirely unacceptable - need more phlebotomists!
I have been seen at the hospital on numerous occasions for other different problems and have always been treated with the utmost care and consideration. Thank You
From the moment I was diagnosed to my discharge after surgery I have had no reason to complain about any treatment I have had. In addition my post operation care has been second to none.
I was admitted to FGH on 5 September into A&E and the treatment I received there was excellent with all staff working under tremendous pressure due to the amount of people they were treating and the shortage of beds for patients waiting to be transferred to wards. However I was eventually transferred to AMU for 3 days then Ward 7. I was treated for Sepsis, the doctors, nurses and all staff were excellent thanks to their wonderful care and professionalism I was discharged on 10 September and have received excellent after care from many visits to the EDCW once again by excellent staff.
Thanks so much FGH
Care always given.
I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated by all the staff I encountered on my recent visit for a prostate biopsy. They were truly excellent. They were professional at all times, yet welcomed me with a friendly smile and took the time to converse with me and put me at ease. They looked after me during the procedure and afterwards when I returned to a side room to recover. I felt genuinely interested in my health and wellbeing and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. They made a good cup of tea, too! I would also like to mentioned the administration staff from the Urology Department who I had telephone calls with prior to my biopsy. They were all nice and friendly whilst being efficient and professional at the same time.
My recent treatment has been a colonoscopy and the removal of polyps. In the last 5 years I have had two total knee replacements at FGH. I have nothing but praise for all the staff involved in both the operations & after care. I would recommend FGH to anyone.
My care and treatment over a Bank Holiday was absolutely of the highest standards.
I was looked after from start to finish and cant speak too highly of the staff at SEAC.
They were super.
After registering and being shown to my bed I was dealt with as quickly and efficiently as was humanly possible considering its such a large and busy hospital. Even more impressive though, was that throughout my stays (2) on the Day Surgery Ward, every single member of staff I encountered from consultant, nurses of all levels, catering and even the ward cleaners were engaging, friendly, humane with a bit of friendly banter and, yes, CARING. Well done to you all!!
