It would have been better but I was given no aftercare instructions after my procedure.
It was fine.
When I arrived in A+E I already had 8 sprays of my GTN spray, 6 of them given by the paramedics as well as well as morphine. I may not have been able to describe the pain I had experienced properly. The care I was given by the 3 female nurses who tended to me was excellent.
After I returned from x ray, the Dr didn’t come back to see me and some communication at this point would have been useful. I had further pain and I had no one to inform.
The fourth nurse who came to take some of my blood had an attitude that didn’t fit in with the otherwise good experience. He didn’t put the plaster on properly which resulted in blood staining a very expensive shirt. I have to wear clergy shirts in the hospital where I work.
The medical Dr who came to see me did apologise for me not being told about what was happening. He came up with a plan and went to his boss to confirm it. His boss didn’t approve his plan. He said that my description of pain did not typically fit with angina. I have a recent dialog micro vascular angina. I got the impression that I was being measured against normal angina and not the type I have been told I have. I have rechecked information on the BHF website and discovered that if the medics consulted with the Registrar who diagnosed it weeks ago from this hospital then there would be no need for them to have made me feel judged for wasting time and resources.
Was at dri for over 8 hours passed from a&e to urgent care back to a&e then to childrens department.A lady who worked at this hospital was seen with her child before us because she worked there and 2 nurses was stood about organising a night out and all waiting room could hear this absolutely disgraceful behaviour.
All the staff were brilliant, the care and treatment I received were excellent.
The staff were all great and were working hard.
A & E and paramedics very thorough, caring and attentive, absolutely amazing
Staff on EMU more interested in chatting and checking phones.
it must have been my lucky day ,was in and out in 1hour 45 minutes I couldn't believe it its usually 7hours or something like that.
The staff we're very friendly and put my mind at ease.
As a nurse myself I have no complaints it’s was an eye opener seeing a and e from a patient perspective
