Long waiting time: Arrived at DRI at 2300, was in severe pain, asked receptionist whilst being booked in if I could recieve pain relief, didn't recieve any, was then asked to sit and wait to be assessed by triage nurse, around 30 minutes later was assessed by triage nurse and asked again for pain relief, was told yes but didn't receive any. Around 20 minutes later was asked to go through to A and E and take a seat, couldn't sit down due to pain so laid on the floor and waited for over an hour before bloods were taken, asked again for pain relief, was told yes but again recieved none, then was told to sit again and wait for results, at 0530 was assessed by the doctor, at this point the pain had subsided and all doctore could offer was omaezaprozol on a drip. I asked the doctor why no pain relief was given when needed, he said it should have been . I am absolutely disgusted and even more concerned that a so called health service would leave a person in severe pain, even when the person has asked repeatedly for relief, I am seriously concerned what would happen to someone significantly weaker than myself would have been in the same situation, its obvious standards have fallen to a level where the staff have lost all compassion and care in administration care to patients, shame on you. I dont expect any positive to come out of this feedback, are you familiar with the saying ' a fish rots from the head, not the tail', however I am very interested to hear back from you.

Suggested improvements
There is obviously something wrong with the culture at DRI or maybe its the process where a doctor only directly interacts with the patients at the end of the process, either way patients should be assessed and listened to more accurately and help given in a timely manner
