Mr. Phillip Heaton is an absolute gentleman and an incredible surgeon. I first met Mr. Heaton in March 2018 when I was referred to him by my G.P. for constant knee pain. At my initial consultation he examined me and said that with no doubt I needed total knee replacements in both knees. He said that my right knee was the worst and recommended that we proceed with that one first. To complicate my surgery, I had Rickets when I was young (war baby) and to my amazement when he examined me he said ‘that’s no problem, we will straighten that at the same time as a my TKR, and subsequently has proven as good as his word. He is an incredible communicator and filled me with confidence explaining what needed to be done. My huge concerns of submitting myself to surgery for the first time in my life were daunting. Mr. Heaton was most reassuring and extremely professional and instilled confidence in me. Now seven weeks on I am walking without a stick, almost off medication and looking forward to resuming my hobby. My most grateful thanks must also go to Mr. Heaton’s team at Fitzwilliam hospital. They were most caring and couldn’t do enough for their patient. The nursing staff were superb, always there to look after you and help you when needed. I am now facing the prospect of again being one of Mr. Heaton’s patients for my second TKR and am doing so without fear or trepidation. Well done Sir, I raise my hat to you and say a most grateful thank you!

I have seen Mr Heaton on and off now for several years, he has completed 2 arthroscopies at Pilgrim hospital, I am waiting for the CCG to approve a TKR. Mr Heaton has always been very curtious and supportive throughout and continues to support me to lose weight following my initial rejection for funding.

I recently had an arthroscopy on my knee, from the very first meeting Mr Heaton filled me with confidence. He took his time to go through the procedure and what to expect answering any questions I had. At every step of the way both pre and post operative nothing was too much trouble for him, I fully knew what to expect and the timescale it would take to be fully on the mend. He is reassuring, polite and extremely professional.

From the very first meeting with Mr Heaton he filled us full of confidence which has never left us he was kind, polite, understanding and informative. I was terrified at the thought of having a total hip replacement but should not have been Mr Heaton explained everything thoroughly in great detail and all my fears were soon dispelled. On the day of the operation at Fitzwilliam Peterborough 21st June 2018 the whole team were incredible their kindness compassion and dedication is second to none. Now six weeks later I am pain free, drug free and with help from the marvellous physio team walking with the aide of a stick and whats more both my legs are now the same length and I'm now wearing flat sandals once more. Truly amazing people I cannot praise highly enough I would have no hesitation in recommending them I certainly was in safe hands.
