He is very understanding and I would still be waiting for my operation if it had not been for him get me accepted for the operation as my bmi was to high. A great doctor and hope if/when I need my other knee sorting he will be available to do it for me.

I found Mr. Heaton to be very professional and pro-active, at the same time as being approachable and taking his patients' individual needs and lifestyle into account. I have been under his care on two separate occasions and would definitely request a referral to him if the need for further surgery became necessary

I went to see Mr Heaton believing I had a 'trapped nerve'! Following my x-ray, he soon pointed out that I had chronic osteoarthritis and needed a hip replacement urgently. He oozed confidence, talking through the procedure and risks in simple terms. At the same time, he comes over as a true gentleman. On the day of the Arthroplasty operation he visited me before the operation, very relaxed, plenty of time for questions and involved my wife in the conversation. His demeanour puts you as 'at ease' as can be before an operation! I opted for a spinal (highly recommended for speedy recovery), Mr Heaton was there helping with the preparation, again, reassuring throughout. My post op visit and subsequent appointments have been equally professional and un-rushed. You will also notice his fitness, should you go on to meet him, always reassuring to be under someone who practises what they preach! Highly recommended!

I found Phil Heaton excellent both before and after my Hip operation He explains things in simple terms and is very confident in his ability to do a great job.My operation was at Grantham hospital and I had excellent treatment and care from all the staff.

I met Mr Heaton at my first consultation what a nice friendly chap he completely put me at ease,he explained everything to both myself and my wife in a way that we both understood.On the day of my operation he came to see me beforehand and again made sure I was happy with everything,I can't thank him and his team enough for the care that I received while at the Fitzwilliam and also the aftercare.
