Following a prolonged period of discomfort in my arms, feet and legs, loss of balance and strength, I elected to have an anterior cervical decompression and disc replacement in C3/4 to C5/6 inclusive. I had 3 consultations with Mr Thorpe leading up to the decision to have the operation. Mr Thorpe took all the time I needed to explain the cause of my symptoms and potential solutions. From the outset I felt in safe, experienced hands, which was important to me leading up to the operation. As I write this I am 10 days post operation and can feel my energy levels back , the discomfort in my arms and legs have gone, and my balance and strength have returned.
