My daughter was recently referred to Mr Trotter following a reoccurrence of the glue ear that she had suffered from 5 years previously. As other reviewers have noted, Mr Trotter is just fantastic with children and from the start, he put both my daughter and the rest of the family at ease. My daughter particularly liked being able to see inside her ears and he made sure that she understood exactly what was going on at all times. Every stage of the process was smooth and trouble free and he was a very reassuring presence on the day of her surgery to insert grommets. She has decided that he is her very favourite doctor in the whole world! Now that she has had the surgery, we have been very impressed with Mr Trotter's approach to post operative care as he wishes to keep seeing her until her grommets have fallen out and he can confirm that the glue ear has not come back. This is so reassuring to us and allows us to feel confident that her hearing problems will continue to be monitored. I would recommend Mr Trotter to anyone as he is utterly professional whilst still being relaxed and laid back with children. He is an amazing doctor and many others in the medical profession could learn a lot from him!

We have had the pleasure of Mr Trotter's experience and knowledge for both our daughters - One with ears and one with tonsils. He is helpful, informative, comforting and has a real sense of enthusiasm in what he does. He ensures that we are always thoroughly looked after and cared for and it gives me a huge amount of comfort and happiness knowing that our daughters were in and are in his excellent hands. A genuinely really nice guy!

We recently saw Mr Trotter for our 5 year old son who has been suffering from recurrent ear infections and Glue ear to the point where we suspected his hearing was really suffering. From our first appointment Mr Trotter became our son's "most favourite doctor ever". He is simply amazing with children and our son is totally relaxed and happy in his presence. Mr Trotter listened to our issues, examined our son, arranged hearing tests and those results indicated that having grommets inserted would be the best way forward for our son. The results were explained to us in a way we understood, without unnecessary medical jargon but more importantly were also explained to our son in a way that he understood. In fact he went back to school with a diagram of his ears so he could show his friends. I'm convinced that all the above played a huge part in our son having absolutely no fear about his operation. The surgery itself was handled effortlessly by Mr Trotter and our son took everything in his stride and was discharged the same day. Our follow up appointments have all been to the same great standard. Quite honestly I wish every doctor had the same qualities as Mr Trotter, the medical world would be a far better place.

I had a long history of breathing problems,sore eyes and pain around my eye sockets. I had sinus treatment many years ago which was not a great experience. Fortunately I was referred to Mr Trotter , at this point in time I had total blockage of the nasal passages and life was pretty miserable. He diagnosed multiple nasal polyps. Mr Trotter filled me with confidence from our first meeting. The surgical procedure has been a major success and only an overnight stay in Parkway involved. His pre and post operative care has been excellent ; I can now breath again ,which sounds pretty basic but really is fantastic, having suffered the problem that thankfully is now resolved. From my own experience I would rate Mr Trotter as one of the best doctors I have received treatment from. p.s I found his secretary very good also. always calls back. answers queries etc .

I recently had a consultation with Mr Trotter, after suffering most of my life from snoring and general breathing through my nostrils. After an examination, Mr Trotter recommended a septoplasty operation. He outlined the pros and cons of the operation clearly to me and I decided on the operation. He was very professional and gave me confidence in having the procedure. On the day of the operation Mr Trotter saw me both before and after the operation and helped me feel at ease. The operation has been a great success for me! The day after the operation I could feel the difference - my breathing was so much better through my nostrils and since the operation I have had no snoring whatsoever! I never thought I would be free of this problem. It is now 3 weeks after the operation and my breathing is improving by the day. I saw Mr Trotter for the follow-up appointment and yet again, a very professional and caring manner. I have much to thank Mr Trotter for and would recommend him as an excellent doctor to anyone who has ear, nose or throat problems.
