Having read a previous review on this doctor I was apprehensive seeing him today. However I found him to be very kind natured, sympathetic and I was listened to which is so important. Dr McKeirnan couldn’t diagnose me today but was very helpful and clear in explaining the processes we need to work to in order to establish a way forward and I was very happy with the care I received.

I had a very disappointing experience seeing Mr Mckiernan privately regarding an issue with my nose that's been troubling me both physically and aesthetically. I was originally seen over a year previously when Mr Mckiernan told me I had nothing to worry about. Unfortunately my symptoms continued to deteriorate over this time and I requested a follow up appointment to discuss my concerns. Mr McKiernan was very short with me and spoke to me in a condecending manner. It was clear that he was only interested in confirming his original diagnosis. I tried to show him photos which he only very briefly looked at. I was told to put vaseline in my nose and find something else to worry about. In total my appointment lasted 5 minutes and I was not thoroughly examined or given the opportunity to discuss how the problem is affecting me physically. To add to the confusion his secretary sent my clinic letters and bill to wrong address leading me to believe that I was not being charged. It was only two months later I discovered the mistake when received an "unpaid bill reminder". I have since had to book to see a Rhinologist who specialises in disorders of the nasal valves. I feel the money spent seeing Mr Mckiernan was sadly wasted.
