Tonic Weight Loss Surgery

Tonic weight loss team are magnificent. There is always someone to contact regarding questions, concerns, information and some of the team have gone through their own weight loss journey which helped me to hear their experiences. The staff on the ward are amazing, understanding, supportive and it is so clean and fresh everywhere, perfect environment. Since my surgery, Tonic nurses, aftercare team, personal trainer are on hand to answer questions and give advice. I feel totally supported by some wonderful individuals.

I had a private sleeve gastrectomy in October 2024. The surgery was performed by Mr Sherif Awad and his very capable team at Derby Private Health and I have to say that the 'patient experience' from start to finish has been nothing short of exceptional. Some 6 months later and I have now lost close to 8 stone and my weight loss journey isn't done yet. Mr Awad is backed up by a dedicated team of nurses, dieticians and fitness trainers who are all a text or call away. Best decision I have ever made. Big thank you to Mr Awad and team @ Tonic. Utterly amazing people that have literally given me my life back.

I had a mini bypass performed by Mr Awad. He was amazing start to finish. Went through the whole process, possible risks and complications. The Tonic team have been fantastic. The service is second to none. I had my surgery on January 11th 2025 and I am already over 20 kg lost. The nurses, dietician and fitness trainers are all a text or call away. They check up regularly. The only thing I regret is not knowing about Tonic sooner. Best decision I have ever made. Big thank you to Mr Awad and team @ Tonic. Utterly amazing people that really care about you as a person.

Very glad I picked tonic for my gastric sleeve. From start to finish they have been brilliant. The aftercare team are better than I ever could have imagined. Harry the PT makes it feel like such a lovely community to be apart of. I would pick tonic again and again and recommend them to everyone. I don't have any complaints at all.

The staff at Tonic made me feel completely at ease at both the pre and surgery date appointments. Nothing was too much. They were all extremely kind and caring. Following the operation, I have received numerous phone calls to check I am progressing as expected and they are more than willing to listen to any problems with nutrition etc.

If I could give more stars I would, each person I have dealt with has been incredible, the care is simply the best, they go above and beyond for you from start to finish and everything in between.

I was cared for at Burcote Hall. The staff were amazing. Very attentive always available never had to use the buzzer once they came to me before I needed them. I would choose this location for care in the future.
