TESTIMONIAL CASSIOBURY COURT I have so much to say about my time at Cassiobury that it seems almost impossible to define my gratitude and place my current emotional context into words. Prior to Cassiobury I attended 13 rehabilitation centers. All I could afford a few weeks ago was 14 days and all I hoped for was a detox. Well, that is certainly not what I received. I can honestly say that I learnt more about recovery in 14 days at Cassiobury than in all my collective time spent at other institutions. My previous institutions worked on the premise that you need to be broken down and then built back up again. How that makes sense is not logical to me. Every time I was institutionalized, I was already in the gutter, there was simply nothing more that needed to be broken down. So I walked into Cassiobury with limited expectations and immediately I was aware of the profound difference of this institution. It’s the small things that matter and I could not get my head around the fact that the chef, Alan, called me by my name when I greeted him on the second day. I also noticed the cultural and ethnic diversity of the staff. It did not seem contrived like a diversity and inclusion exercise. It was enormously enriching for me. It just felt like management had gone to great lengths to hire the best possible staff to meet the needs of their clients. All of the staff were supportive, loving, tolerant and kind. Every day was a joyous experience for me. The groups were well presented and very diverse. What I learned about the power of breathing and meditation was life changing. I also found the flexibility given to clients to deal with external matters and not being forced to attend groups an absolute revelation. The consequence of this approach resulted in the clients being more at ease and improved our ability to support each other. I can honestly say that I have never laughed so much in my life during those 14 days, I spent 3 years and 2 months in the previous 13 rehabilitation centers and when I left nobody kept in regular contact with each other. We all promised each other eternal friendship and communication. Cassiobury makes that impossible for me. Our community has a WhatsApp group and there are 4 people I have been in constant contact with since I left and will continue to do so in the future. Cassiobury also gave me the freedom to continue a professional relationship with my counsellor who has become incredibly special to me. Again, this was never allowed at other institutions. I could say so much more. The rooms are lovely, the food is varied and delicious and the staff understand because most of them are in recovery themselves. I researched many different places and Cassiobury was by far the most reasonably priced place. Lastly, I do need to mention one person by name, one of the senior counsellors called Gerard. He gave me the greatest gift of all, he gave me hope, and that is priceless. So if you are broken and are in the gutter like I was. You have a solution, just get yourself down to Watford and Cassiobury Court. I entered Cassiobury as my 14 institution and when I left God told me it would be my last. I believe that to be the truth. My name is Marco F and I am in recovery. I do not drink or use any mind-altering substances, You can have this reality too.

I can not put into words how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to attend CC for my treatment. I was made to feel safe & secure with a knowledgeable and loving team of staff. The program is fantastic and equipped me with the tools to move on in a new direction, sober & happy. I embraced the program and did the work asked and have never felt stronger in my recovery. The food and accommodation is second to none and through a loving community, have made like-minded friends for life. All I can say, from the bottom of my heart, is THANK YOU! x

An expensive and slightly mercenary feel when dealing with finances, especially considering the vulnerability of the clients. But excellent care from the staff and first class counselling. Altogether saved my life and gave me hope.

Brilliant, friendly staff, nice facilities, good food. Medical advice and treatment could be a lot better, I wouldn't recommend Cassiobury Court for heroin detox if unless your level of misuse is fairly low. Seems really good for alcohol detox.
