Royal Orthopaedic Hospital
I am applled by the lack of care and compassion shown by this hospital, its consultants, and management team, they really just don't give a dame about there patients, you are 'a number on a spreadsheet' to them. The treatment (or lack of) I have received under this department in the past 2 years Is appalling it really is, results get lost/mis-placed, they never take responsibility for there actions, always someone else's fault. Talk about well I might/might not do surgery, if it was this we maybe could, it's ridiculous how you are treated. The consultants will tell you how they are all about patient care and patient focused, that's too your face, once your out the door, there is no patient care regarding follow up or emergency situations. You are just ignored by all Another hospital has now questioned the lack of treatment and issues that have happened too (this is with themnow seeing the results), as believes things should have happened in a more timely manner, and things have certainly been missed. I would 100% not recommend this hospital and advise anyone to go somewhere else, if you are looking for someone who will truly (as some NHS colleagues do) care for you and provide the treatment you need, please avoid this hospital.
My whole care plan, it has been appalling from start (sadly not at the end yet, but fearful of going back there) Follow patients up when you are saying you are going roo, don't leave them for nearly a year Management teams attitude is awful, they and the consultants need to take responsibility for there actions

I have a benign tumour of the knee which is slowly getting larger and damaging the knee. Anyway, I've spent a week and hundreds of pounds getting to and from the hospital this week for preops, mris and finally today which was the day I was having it removed. I'm in alot of pain as well as having fibro and arthritis. Told to arrive nil by mouth at 7.15 am which I did, bought my bag because I was told 2 days stay. By about 9 30 I saw my consultant and told that would have to wait in the waiting room until about 3-4 pm to be admitted and prepped for surgery if the other ops went smoothly. HOW is it acceptable for a patient to wait 9 hrs nil by mouth in a waiting room ? ? Absolutely disgusting. I walked out no pun intended in the end. I now have no surgery, I'm in pain and nerve pain and I'm broke ! I'm so upset and angry. 9 HOURS !! FOR A PREPLANNED OPERATION TO REMOVE A TUMOUR. I am so upset. How dare you.
Stop skintflinting on surgeries and treat your patients better. So disappointing. I was told only they remove my type of tumour. The only ones in the country ! So I'll just wait till my knee falls off and get taken into A and E and it would be quicker.

I had the worst experience ever at this hospital when going to visit my over 70 year old mother who had a knee replacement. On the 1st visit to ward2 very rude staff very disrespectful talking down to visitors and making rude remarks. On the 2nd visit Making up there own visiting policies when questioned to see the policy after 30minutes of waiting the policy could not be located it was also not stated in the paperwork we were given or even mentioned to us.i was disgusted with the way the ward manager spoke down to me for no apparent reason trying to provoke a reaction I refused to retaliate and walked away. If there was a minus 5 star i’d give them that
Change the staff on ward 2 absolutely disgusting service patients are coming there with no choice for treatment however they dont need to be mistreated very rude and disrespectful staff even the ward manager amber very bad attitude
