Cetirizine does not suit all allergy sufferers and some people may react to it and have side effects. In this case try an alternative allergy medication such as Loratadine as this may suit you better. My own personal experience is that I tolerate Cetirizine well and I have taken it daily for many years. It improves my quality of life by controlling my allergic reactions, the cause of which has not been identified. I take the one a day tablets. Do shop around if you need to take this medicine long term and avoid brand names as the price of this medicine can vary greatly. I suggest that you try supermarket own brands or other unbranded as these are just as effective and contain the same quantity of active ingredient as the more expensive ones.

I take this to resolve an allergy at work. Without it I cannot do my job! Easy small tablet to take. My main problem is remembering it!!! Found it less effective (or allergy has worsened) slowly over last 3 years but still effective enough 95% of the time!

Profile

Cetirizine/ pseudoephedrine is used for:
Relieving nasal and non-nasal symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergies such as watery or itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and stuffy nose.

Cetirizine/pseudoephedrine is a decongestant (pseudoephedrine) and antihistamine (cetirizine) combination. It works by blocking a chemical in the body, histamine, which causes allergy symptoms. It also shrinks swollen nasal passages, which relieves nasal congestion.
