As a young person requiring an active wheelchair, the service that is provided is appalling. All chairs were heavy and none of them were suitable for anyone under the age of 80. They tried me with a manual chair that was so heavy that I couldn't leave the house. They told me they would have to get me a voucher which barely covered 10% of the price - I am now left with pressure sores as investing in my own seat costs almost £200 a time, a price in which I cannot afford. I had to buy the cheapest active chair which breaks regularly. If only the service was willing to actually provide one or two active chairs for younger users, I'm now relying on charity to get someone to meet my needs.
