The wheelchair services in Scunthorpe are run by people who are full of their own self importance & think they are qualified to override the decision by your doctor - in my case the doctor says I need a chair, but the wheelchair services disagree! The woman doing the assement is very unfriendly & totally negative. I've never cross someone who is so pleased to tell you that you won't get help. She's chuffed to bits when she turns someone down. I have a friend who applied at the same time as I did & received the same lack of care & attitude that I did.
