This concerns a repair to my mobility scooter, which can to transported in my adapted vehicle which is provided because of my very limited mobility. My scooter, which was provided by NHS wheelchair services at AGH, was taken away to be repaired, with the promise it would be returned in 4 hours. It was not. I was provided with a substitute scooter BUT it cannot be lifted into my vehicle so it does not serve my purposes, i.e. I cannot use it for hospital appointments, nor to carry out my usual daily routines. I cannot use my vehicle as I need to. I have a hand propelled chair BUT I have a problem with my arms and being obese, (and awaiting bariatric surgery) have not the strength to propel myself. My scooter has been with AGH Wheelchair services 19 days, and I have been unable to contact Farah (?) the person in charge for a solution to the problem. Shortly I have a face-to-face appointment at St Luke's related to my surgery, which I will be unable to keep because of this situation. I have waited a long time foor my surgery and I don't want anytthin to cause further delay. Thus I feel AGH Wheelchair services which has served me very well until now, is now failing me badly.
