My options for treatment were a radical prostatectomy or hormone/radiotherapy and I first met Tracey Ellis to discuss treatment by the latter. She provided a comprehensive, lucid and articulate explanation of the hormone/radiotherapy treatment. She also patiently answered all my many questions and provided a cogent argument for her belief that at my age radiotherapy would be a better option than surgery. Having then fully explored the suitability of surgery I concluded she was right. She explained fully my treatment plan and the possible side effects and during my treatment she accurately predicted when my side effects would occur and provided specific advice on how to deal with them. She is professional, forthright, helpful and empathetic, qualities that prevail throughout the radiotherapy department. I am grateful for her invaluable help and I know my treatment was stressless because of her and the radiographers in her department. David Roberts
