Alex has treated both my son and I . He is a fantastic physio, explains everything clearly and sets out a plan at the start. He went through all the exercises that I needed to do at home to help repair my injury more quickly.. He is also very personable and puts you at ease from the beginning. I would highly recommend Alex. He is highly professional and extremely competent.

On day 1 of my 14-week marathon training, I was suffering from a knee pain that had been there since my last marathon more than half a year ago. Within a few weeks, the pain was gone, and I managed to finish my marathon 14 weeks later without any pain in my knee. Definitely recommend Alex as he is knowledgeable in what he does, and he makes sure I can both manage the pain and prevent the pain.

I brought my son into the clinic to improve his running technically as he is a footballer and had had some trouble with Osgood Schlatter.Alex was exceptional in all the work, training and care he gave to my son.Always friendly, polite and went out of his way to insure we were satisfied with the treatment as well as the routines, appointments and sessions in general. Can not praise Alex enough and would highly recommend anyone no matter what the issue to book with Alex, you will not be disappointed in the slightest.

I have been running marathons for nearly 10 years - frustrated by repeated issues with cramp in the latter stages of races, I decided to get my running technique looked at, and a personalised marathon programme done. Alex, has taken me to a completely different level with my running. 6 hour long sessions working on technique and the difference (he films you “before” and “after”) is remarkable. I feel stronger, am running faster, and the little niggles you tend to pick up along the way Alex has dealt with quickly and easily with appropriate exercises. What is more, the marathon programme has reinvigorated my enjoyment for running! It has been the best decision I have ever made with my training, and I can not recommend it highly enough. Alex is professional, knowledgable, and understood me / my drivers / my strengths / my weaknesses very quickly, to all add up to an excellent overall experience. Alistair Foley

I can't recommend Alex highly enough. After an initial consultation and 6 x 30 minute sessions, he has completely reversed a long standing problem with my lower back, to the point where it isn't noticeable any more! As the treatment was so effective, I also asked him to look at long term shoulder and knee niggles, both of which he has also corrected. I now have very simple stretching & strength building exercises which take no more than 20 minutes every other day, which will keep all the problems from returning. Calm, highly professional & extremely effective, Alex really is excellent.

Profile

MCSP HCPC

Alex qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012 and proceeded to work for a charity in the south of the country before returning up north to work in St Helens NHS trust for 6 months. During this period he worked in a number of areas but musculoskeletal was always his main area of interest.

It was from here that Alex moved to work for Sale Sharks rugby team where he originally started working with the junior academy. After one season he changed roles to working with the senior academy and first team. He worked for the club for two years and in which time he was part of a medical team that had the lowest injury rates in the premiership.
In the last four years Alex has completed a number of physiotherapy courses to help further develop him as a physiotherapist. He works very much as a manual therapist but enjoys spending time using his rehabilitation knowledge to ensure his patients can return to full function.
