Our daughter sprained her ankle 2 days before she was due to walk 10 miles a day for 2 days with a full pack for her Duke of Edinburgh. She saw Liam the next day, who listened carefully to what she wanted to achieve, gave her some on the spot treatment and strapped it expertly, whilst advising her about anti-inflammatory measures to get her through the weekend. Sure enough, she completed her challenge, Liam's strapping lasted the length of the expedition, and there is no doubt she could not have done it without his expert attention!

I'm a very competitive racing cyclist and I go to see Liam because the things I do training and racing aren't always good for my body. Liam has an excellent understanding of cycling and the injuries it can cause and he always seems to know exactly where to put his hands to relieve pain and mend injuries. He also is great at tweaking the set up of your bike so the risk of injury is minimised, why meddle with it yourself of let some amateur bike shop mechanic do it when you have someone with Liam's expertise who can help and advise. He's also a really nice guy who is easy to get along with and it's always good to see him.

I'm a racing cyclist and as a result of training and racing I need to get my body fixed on a regular basis. For several years I've been going to Liam for that. He has a great understanding of the demands being on a road bike for several hours at speed places on your body and knows just where to put his hands to make the pain reduce and go away. He's also great when it comes to tweaking the bike for that extra bit of performance and making sure that the tweak causes no pain or injury. It's just not worth letting an amateur do it when there's someone with Liam's level of expertise around. He's also a really pleasant, nice guy who it's easy to get along with.

One cough too many and I did something to my back and I could barely move. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Liam for later the same day and somehow I got to the clinic and into his treatment room. He worked on my back for most of an hour and at the end it was all easier. I've been back a couple of times and it's all sorted out now thank goodness. Excellent treatment and care from the team here.

I've seen Liam as needed for the last five or so years. This time it's my knee injured when running. As ever he got straight to work on me and recovery has been swift and very good.

Profile

Senior Physiotherapist

My physiotherapy career began in the NHS. I completed a wide variety of rotations whilst beginning my specialism into musculoskeletal treatments. Despite the inherent challenges, I really enjoyed my time in the NHS, and I learned an incredible amount. Since this time I have worked extensively in private practice throughout South West London and Surrey. My experience to date has developed my expertise in treating a wide variety of clients and injuries. Clinically, I have spent my time assessing and treating those who simply work hard, the ultimate sport enthusiasts, and also elite athletes.

Prior to physiotherapy, I gained my first degree in Sports Science at Loughborough University. Whilst working as a private personal trainer, I became very interested in the biomechanics of injuries, and more specifically, the effect people have upon themselves in their chosen activity. It would seem that in many cases a chosen sport may simply find a problem (that has been there for a long time) rather than cause the problem in the first place. In my practice, I like to use my knowledge of exercise, biomechanics, and a wealth of manual therapy skills to both solve the problem, and keep it away. Whatever the problem may be, I will be with you every step of the way.
