I had knee surgery and required post-op physio. Similar to others it would seem, I went to another physio for a number of months who, while perfectly professional, never seemed to have much of a handle on my problem. Lots of general trial and error experimentation is what it felt like. Eventually I was referred to Claire about 8 months after my operation. On my first appointment it was apparent she was an expert in knee problems, and seemed to get right to the bottom of the problem with a few basic movement tests. She gave me programs of exercises to pursue between appointments which left me time to see if they were effective, but kept up her investigations when I came in. Three appointments (!) and I seem to be on the road to proper recovery. There's no understating the relief. I cannot recommend her highly enough

Before I was referred to Claire Robertson I had seen a lot of people about both of my knees, and was still very unsure and confused about what the problem was. When I had my consultation with Claire, it was the first time that somebody had properly listened to me explain everything I had been through with my knees. She asked lots of questions and gave answers to all of mine which made me feel very reassured and a lot more confident that I can get better again and fix the problem. I was able to understand what she was saying as she described in detail what the problems were in word which I understood clearly. Her patience was great as she had to deal with two very tricky knees! Claire Robertson is definitely a knee expert and I am very thankful that I went to see her. Thanks to her consultation I can hopefully get back to playing soccer soon!!

Very personable and helpful in explaining the information in a understandable manner. I felt comfortable to ask questions and raise concerns I had.

Incredible attention to detail. Great at explaining in non-medical terms what was wrong and, more importantly, how to fix it. Her patience and understanding was amazing along with her 'joined-up thinking' about my previous injuries and there effect on my current condition. I left Claire's' clinic with a very clear understanding of what to expect, what to to and how to do it. I felt, for the first time, assured that I had a clear diagnosis and I am confident that I will see a great improvement in no time at all. Thoroughly recommended.

I was referred to Claire by an orthopaedic consultant after an MRI scan on my knee showed no damage despite considerable pain and discomfort in everyday life, particularly after running and cycling. Whilst a relief to hear that nothing was seriously wrong, the consultant described the symptoms as ‘mystery’ knee pain with no obvious mechanical fault but that Claire Robertson, a consultant physiotherapist, was an expert in knee pain and should be able to help. Claire is clearly an expert in her field and was able to diagnose the likely cause from simply asking questions about my lifestyle, sporting choices and recent experiences. A short examination confirmed her suspicions and a clear plan was put in place to sort the problem out. Within days the symptoms were better and within a fortnight I was pretty much back to normal. A follow up 2 months later confirmed that all is on track and we discussed a regime which might prevent such injury again and help with general fitness and flexibility. One of those great medical experiences where the clinician quickly understands the problem, is able to communicate clearly what it is and how it can be resolved. Highly recommend.
