I have experienced Dr. Claire Robertson as a highly competent, caring and outcome-oriented specialist. I felt listened to with genuine interest and knew that I'd get an assuring yet honest and professional response. She is the only one out of many who has been able to fully and holistically explain my knee patella pain, joining different dots to a coherent 'story'. Claire helped put together a care plan that really worked for me, and she explained its rationale in a way it made sense. This empowered me to take an informed ownership of my recovery and effectively continue my work with my physiotherapists. Warmly recommend her - she's outstanding.

I injured my knee nearly two years ago now. Before seeing Claire, I went through the NHS and saw a sports doctor, physio and orthopaedic surgeon. I had two steroid injections in my knee, an ultrasound guided injection and even an MRI scan on my knee. I was told that there wasn't a problem that could be treated and that I would never run again. The orthopaedic surgeon told me that the only thing he could do was to break both my legs and put them back together... I really love running so I was pretty upset about all of this. It was a year after my injury that I was told by the NHS that they couldn't do anything so I then decided to pay to see a podiatrist who was very helpful. He gave my insoles and suggested that I went to see Claire. Claire is lovely and she really wants you to get better in as little time as possible. She told me that I could email her at any time. One thing that I really liked about her was that she wanted to see me infrequently. So, even though she was more expensive than other physios that I'd seen, she ended up being much cheaper overall. In the past, I've seen physios who wanted to see me every two weeks but nothing got better. I have seen Claire three times only and now I don't need to see her again. She gave me a few exercises to do that were easy so I didn't get them wrong and she didn't give me too many so I had time to do them. I can now run for 30 minutes and I know that this will increase with time. I never thought I'd be able to run for this long ever again so I am incredibly grateful to Claire and would recommend her wholeheartedly. She is the most helpful, caring and professional person in the medical profession that I have ever met.

I saw Claire with a recurring knee issue, in the hope of avoiding surgery. She carried out an assessment of the problem and, unlike other physios I had seen, gave me a very targeted physio regime that I could realistically fit into a busy schedule. 4 weeks after my initial visit I was on the mend, and 4 weeks after that I am running again without discomfort. Oh, and she is a very nice person to boot!

I saw Claire as my knee wouldn't settle down after an injury, and was seeking her opinion if a surgery was the last option. She listened carefully, asked many good questions and came up with a diagnosis. No surgery, but a few simple exercises per day that changed everything to the positive. After a few eye-opening appointments I am back to normal, and know what to do in case the patella issue would come back. I can highly recommend this friendly and extremely competent physiotherapist.
