I sat in a small waiting area prior to my eye test. Socially distanced from one other man. However I was horrified when he was called in and and someone else was immediately shown to his seat before it was cleaned or disinfected. I felt very uncomfortable wondering if my seat was clean. The eye test was fine and the optometrist was professional. While I was waiting to pay for my eye test I realised the prescription I had been given wasn’t mine but someone else’s. They printed mine off and I left. When I got home I realised the prescription wasn’t signed or dated and my daughter had to return the following day to get it sorted. Today I have been emailed a feedback survey from Boots but it’s impossible to download which leads me to believe they never receive any negative feedback ! I will not be using Boots Opticians in Chichester again

From my initial appointment for an eye test through to seeing the optometrist I was treated with respect efficiency and was totally confident in their expertise. As a result my glasses, which are varifocals are perfect . Thank you.

Your staff at Chichester are wonderful (Saturday 21 October). The initial lady was most helpful. The optometrist (the slim Indian lady whose name I forget)was fantastic. I was worried that some thing had gone wrong lately with my left eye. She put me at ease and arranged an emergency appointment at Southlands eye hospital in two hours time (1230); assuring me that this was only to stop my worries. I attended and was dealt with and out of the hospital within an hour and a bit. As suspected by your optometrist what my eye was doing was normal for my age. I will be thanking the lady in person, but you have a star in your organisation. George Barclay

I saw three people during my appointment, I don't know which one was my optometrist. They were all friendly. However there was nobody to speak to at the counter when I arrived for my appointment. I waited 25 minutes - what is the point of making an appointment if the appointment time is not kept? I have a very pressured schedule and a delay of this magnitude is significant to me. Why do you capitalise Optician and Optometrist in this survey? These are not proper nouns.
