I have found Westdale fine if you are independent and not requiring any extra support, I have witnessed as soon as you need extra help you are asked to move on to another home.
Staff approachable, but not always around they seem to spend a lot of time especially in the afternoons and weekends sat in the staff room with door closed, not that pro active. Which possibly comes down to the home being more a rest home other than what I would class a Care home maybe?
Food fine, only criticism if you don't care for the evening meal choice is Bread and Jam or cheese Biscuits. Not ideal if you don't like cheese! Standard of cleaning average, not always have I found the room up to standard. But home's main areas always kept clean,
Good sized Conservatory which is well used by residents, Social entertainment very good they have a nice mini bus, well laid out gardens.
