Ms Sharan Ingram has provided us with support at both Manchester Royal Infirmary and also at The Christie Hospital, Manchester. Her ability to listen and to advice has been invaluable during this current period of illness for my husband. Sharan understands that no matter how difficult it may be to hear a poor prognosis at consultation level, it is completely vital that the family leave the building, start the car, negotiate the traffic and make the long journey home, heavy with the knowledge that despite everything there is always hope. She has made herself available should we need help in the future and she is the one and only specialist nurse covering HPB at either Royal Bolton or The Christie who has offered any support. I feel MRI have had the greatest loss by her leaving and Christie the greatest gain by her new position, I am confident she will continue to make improvements which will benefit all patients. This review covers support offered at both MRI and recently at the Christie Hospital
