Carol has helped me through titration for the last 12 months and despite the services being extremely busy and Carol no doubt being rushed off her feet, she has always managed to reply promptly, professionally and compassionately. Carol has reassured me lots of times when my anxiety got the better of me and she explains things easily regarding side effects etc. I've never once been made to feel my questions/concerns were a burden and have always felt listened to. Its been a pleasure to have her as my prescribing nurse, I highly recommend Carol.

Ms Shue was the nurse that guided me through my titration process in the Psychiatry UK. She was swift to answer all of my questions and react adjusting the medication so that the best fit can be achieved. Her experience enabled her to respond to and clarify all of my enquiries during that period.

Carol was so brilliant through my whole titration period. She was clear, helpful, really listened to me, and calmed all of the anxieties I had. I whole heartedly recommend Carol as a nurse prescriber, my titration was smooth and so easy which was all down to her fantastic care.

Specialises in

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
